Gregory Zabek, D.D.S.
Dr. Zabek personifies "experienced dental care you can trust". He is an associate professor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He graduated with honors from there as well, a member of the TKO honor society and finished in the top 20% of his graduating class. He earned his undergraduate degree at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
Listed in the "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals" directory, Dr. Zabek was once the editor of the Northern California Academy of General Dentistry, during which the journal earned an award for "Most Improved Publication". He also is a former Expert Examiner for the California State Board, former member of the American Association of Dentistry for Children. He is currently a certified CPR instructor for the San Francisco Dental Society and is also a member (and former president) of the Alpha Omega dental fraternity.
Dr. Zabek serves his community in many ways. He develops connections for refurbishing used and discarded bicycles to disadvantaged youth. He developed an existing cub scout pack to one of the largest, most active packs in the Bay Area. He is the Board Liaison for the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #3 (the oldest continuously existing lodge) to the Cub Scout Pack 343 and a six-year member of the Elks' youth activities committee. He was also once the athletic director for the Press Club of San Francisco.
He is a proud father of three children and three stepchildren, relishes being the head coach for the winningest football team in the University of the Pacific dental school's history, and never stops building his already impressive hot sauce collection in the office.

Celia Iwama, D.D.S.
Celia is a superb, specialty-qualified dentist licensed here in California, and joined our practice in 2004. She grew up in Brazil and came to the United States to do research on titanium metals at the University of Southern California. While at USC, she completed a post-graduate program in Prosthodontics (a dental specialist degree in crowns and bridges, implants and dentures.) She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this practice.
Celia gets a lot of joy from doing her best for her patients and seeing the improvements in their dental health. She is also very thankful to USC and Brazil for providing funding for her education.

Christina Valdez, R.D.H., R.D.A.
Christina has been working in the dental field since 2000, initially as a registered dental assistant (RDA). She enjoyed working with patients so much she went to a higher level. We are proud to have her aboard as staff hygienist (RDH). Christina helped us out when she was a RDA and we all enjoyed her work ethics, professionalism, and personality so that we asked her to join us. She enjoys all of our patients and all of our staff. Her biggest hobbies include Afro-Brazilian dancing and choreographing tap dancing. After living two years in New York, she plans to stay in her home, California.

Sheryl Green, C.D.A.
Sheryl is our super certified dental assistant -- Dr. Zabek's extra pair of hands and eyes. You'll marvel at her gentle capabilities and technical skill and knowledge. She is a California girl with two boys who are nuts about baseball and she is fun to talk to and be with.

Leonor Areas
Leonor puts our patients at ease in her duties as office manager and receptionist. Naturally pleasant and very knowledgeable, she was born in Nicaragua and happens to be a dentist there. "Leo" loves baseball (especially the Oakland A's) and enjoys chatting in Spanish.
